In need of an audience

Well, just as I'm sure you all thought he'd given up, Gary has returned.

His latest gripe appears to be something to do with cars, taxes and Nick Clegg MP.

Given the Labour Party's current troubles, over rising fuel prices and cuts to local bus services, it seems strange that Gary should want to raise an issue like this. Even stranger too considering the benefit that such a scheme might have on people in Gary's profession - by that we mean his train driving one, not his PCT gravy train one.

WareingWatch continues to take notice of such ramblings, because somebody must.

Happy to give - but not to take

It seems our Gary is easily angered by discussions on this blog. However, its been a completely different story when the boot is on the other foot. Our WareingWatchers have been scanning the archives and have come up with the following random accusations, untruths and slurs that Gary has dished out to his political opponents over the years:

For the Lib Dems, it's all about money and greed apparently:

And again a few days later, in case you hadn't got the message:
http://garywareing.blogspot.com/2007/05/hull-liberal-democrats-are-all-about_28.html

The Tories are involved as well:

But laughing at their misfortune in the automobile market is apparently fine:

His opponent is untrustworthy and "fake":
http://garywareing.blogspot.com/2007/02/fake-lib-dem.html

And others are "nasty":

Finally, the electorate give their view on Gary:

Obviously most of Gary's official blog is made up of this sort of thing, so we've only listed some of the highlights. Interestingly, WareingWatch has also learned that former councillors are not immune from investigation by the Standards Board, for actions dating from when they were councillors - so read the above links quickly before Gary destroys the evidence!

100 Up - and still going!

Yes thats right WareingWatchers, after over a year since it was created WareingWatch has reached 100 posts!

Over the 99 previous posts WareingWatch has established itself as the world's number one resource for Gary news. Its charted the highs and lows, picked up avid readers and awards.

We've even received more hits than Gary's official blog, been the subject of questions at Hull City Council meetings and been mentioned in the local press.

No wonder people are turning to WareingWatch - for all their Gary news!

Are they really bothered?

This time last month Labour "activists" in Hull were running around like crazy delivering leaflets proclaiming their love for the Citizens Advice Bureau. Even our Gary was up to it, damning the Lib Dems on his blog for a "kick in the teeth" to local residents.

How times change. A month later and all of a sudden its gone quiet. The Labour Group on the Council is too busy fighting each other to keep up with the latest on their most recent bandwagon.

Of course the local elections have been and gone within that period. Could this be the reason for the fall in interest, or are we here at WareingWatch just a bit too cynical for our own good?!

Cleared!

Yes! You heard it hear first. Lib Dem Cllr Carl Minns and other senior Lib Dem councillors have been told that the Standards Board for England intend to take "no further action" over WareingWatch.

And why would they! As a winner of such accolades as Angus Young's Blog of the Year Award, who could object to WareingWatch - your number one resource for all things Gary related!

Gary's No Show

WareingWatchers have reported in, following last week's local elections, with the news that our Gary was nowhere to be seen at the election night count at the Guildhall.

Was this because well known Garyslayers Karl Turner and Anjie Wastling were both in attendance?

Has Gary now completely lost faith in the Hull Labour Party? Was he perhaps off somewhere with, the also absent, Andy Sloan?

Is this the end for WareingWatchers everywhere....?
